Jay-z, The Blue Grotto and Capri, Italy

Mommy and Daddy on their Honeymoon in Capri... Ask us for the story about Jay-Z one day!

Ok, fine we will tell you...

Jay-Z {sansa Beyonce as the Italians would say} was docked on a yacht in the Mediterannean just off the rock beach from our hotel. In fact, he played loud music and fireworks were routinely shot off the deck of the yacht during all hours of the night. One day, his friends were hanging out in a piazza on the Island. Seeing a fellow American, I decided to approach him and say, "Whats up"... After approaching the table and saying "Hi", everyone at the table stared at me like I was from Mars...

I was really angry and said, "If you dont want people coming up to you, then perhaps you should not sit at the corner table adjacent to a busy piazza!"

I went back up to my wife and said the Ja-Rule wouldnt talk to me and Michele said, "That isnt Ja-Rule you loser, that is Jay-Z"

Jay-Z forgot soon enough b/c when we went down to the Blue Grotto for a late evening swim, his yacht pulled up and his crew jumped off and swam with us in the blue grotto!

(For those who havent been, you do not need to take a boat in to the grotto! Walk to the grotta about 15 minutes after the last boat is scheduled to go and then you can swim right in to the blue grotto. A much better experience then paying 20$ to ride in the boat!)

The Chronicles of NARNIA

My favorite line is "You can call us Aaron Burr from the way we are dropping Hamiltons"

Hilarious short from SNL...

Christmas Dinner with "The Family"

Maddux and The Train

Man, I havent seen a kid this happy on a train since Ricky Stratton from Silver Spoons (come on, you know you watched it right after Punky Brewster on Sunday nights!)
Maddux, Alfonso Ribero was on Silver Spoons too; My school had a rumor that Alfonso broke his neck breakdancing (it was probably that Jared kid)... As a result, my mom banned me from breakdancing and cut short what could have been a prolific career... Your dad could have starred in Electric Boogaloo 2...
Darn you urban legends...

Christmas Morning

Layla & Maddux

Bad Santa

Uncle Billy was the best! He dressed up as santa claus for maddux and everyone enjoyed it...
Maddux is gonna be home schooled so some punk-kid with low self esteem doesn't blow his christmas beliefs like Jared did for me in 2nd grade at Elm Grove Elementary...
Are you reading this Jared? Probably not, Jared cant read!! Ha Ha loser... look at you now!

AUNT AMBER TANZILLO and her first visit to Baltimore!

Well, maddux, when amber arrived at the airport we drove back to our house! When we arrived to park on the street, there was a man sprawled out on the ground... UNCONSCIOUS!!!! We called 911 and the ambulance came... It looked like he had been mugged... WELCOME TO BALTIMORE, "the city that reads and mugs people by our house"

Maddux, you and Aunt Amber had a great time together. She took all of these pictures of you with her digital camera. Maybe one day Amber will show you how to drink Long Island Iced teas!

Amber helped raise you while mommy and daddy went out to a fancy dinner (i let your mother supersize her dinner)! It was the first meal we ate together without you in a restaurant... We missed you, but the other people sitting next to us sure didnt!

More fun in Rockford! We went to the discovery center museum and played in the cabinets. Maddux made good friends with Zep and I think Zep was just as sad as everyone else to see Maddux leave!

Maddux First Bday party in Rockford! The theme this time was Winnie the Pooh! Another of Maddux favorites! The cake smeared all over the face was something we will see again!

The adults got to eat Norm's world famous chili whose secret ingredient is a closely held secret only known to a few people (we are not allowed to all travel in the same airplane at the same time)

One word: "Lady Killer!" Posted by Picasa

Maddux really enjoyed sledding; We went in Kewanee and Rockford! GO BEARS! Posted by Picasa

Maddux, you have some strange interests. First, you love the fridge; if we could decorate your bedroom as a refrigerator, you would be in heaven (daddy would like to keep your room the temperature of a fridge after getting the heating bill!)

Other strange things maddux likes:
-Pot Holders and oven mitts
-Mommy's bracelets
-Cell phones
-Fake fruit, especially fake lemons
-paper towels
-remote controls
-taking cd's out of the jewel case and smashing the cd on the floor (esp my pearl jam cd's)
-dogs, especially zeppelin and Layla
-bananas (real ones)
-shoes
-cupboards
-Uncle Billy Posted by Picasa

I put this picture in to show how far my beautiful wife Michele has come... Remember Pre-Maddux when you would come to our house? Michele would make you take off your shoes and then hook you up to a pulley system so you never actually touched the ground and then she would chase you around with a dustbuster!

Now, there is orange jello (great-grandma carol dasenbrook used to make gallons of the stuff for all the dasenbrook grandkids) ALL OVER THE FLOOR! Posted by Picasa
