The New Arrival... Ultrasound of Baby Boy Dasenbrook #2

Well Maddux, this is the beginning of the end my man... You have been the only grandkid for almost 2 years now... WHAT A RUN!

Your days of constant attention from grandparents, aunts, uncles, and drunken strangers is almost over... what with amy about to have their kid and Mom is gonna deliver that little guy up there in November, you are in serious trouble.

Study this picture, it is you competition, i mean little brother... You are very sweet right now and give kisses to mommies belly every night and say "baby". Both mommy and daddy were the oldest children in our families and look how we turned out, I mean we still have all our teeth and other than your mother's dolphin tatoo we dont have any permanent artwork!

Maddux, mommy and daddy didnt care what we were having as long as it was a healthy baby boy...

OH YEAH, DID I MENTION ITS A BOY!!! Posted by Picasa

Maddux in the St Louis Dispatch

Here is the copy of Maddux and Pete in the St Louis Dispatch at run the bases day at cardinals stadium. The journalist took a little artistic licensce and said we named Maddux after Greg Maddux... That is ridiculous... we named him after Angelina Jolie's son maddox... Just kidding, we are not so shallow we would name our children after famous people or movie stars. Our next sons name will be brad pitt dasenbrook. Posted by Picasa

Norm, Sandy, and Keith came to baltimore for a Four day weekend of fun! We visited Libby and TK asthey had us over to dinner for a BBQ!

We went to the inner harbor and rode on the water taxis and checked out a lot of the local beers.
Then, we went to DC b/c the Nationals were playing the CUBBIES... as usual the cubbies lost but the RFK stadium was nice;

Maddux enjoyed hanging out with everyone and cant wait for a return visit!

Maddux and Keith

Brookfield Elementary alumnus Keith the K-man Dasenbrook and Maddux spending a little quality time together at the park at Brookview Elementary, a bastion of elementary excellence.

Fourth of July

We were in Cleveland for the fourth of July and enjoyed the fireworks. We watched them from a church. After the fireworks we returned to our car in the church parking lot. It was like a bingo hall. A million cars and no one was letting anyone else in.

I dominated everyone by reminding them we were in the house of the lord and that woman and children should be let to go first.

Then Uncle Mike and Aunt amber and aunt trish and I went to a bar. I almost got beat up, but then amber saved the day. We will tell you that story another day.

Doug and Jamie's Wedding

Maddux and I at Doug and Jamies Wedding...

Mallampati Four!

Stealing Home!

Maddux and Grandpa at the Cubs-Cardinals game! After the game they let the kids run the bases! Maddux, reminiscent of his very athletic father, can be seen here sliding in to home plate.

I think it is important for our child to experience all sorts of different view points; Heck, I even married a cardinals fan, so anything is possible. I wanted to draw michele in to the cubs lifestyle and show her how fruitless it is to be a cardinals fan, but now our son is running the bases at Busch stadium in a cardinals hat, shoes, and shirt...

I think i have been Jedi Mind Tricked! Where is Yoda? There he is, holding maddux as he slides in to home... Posted by Picasa

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was very peaceful.

Viva Las Vegas

Caesar says go to vegas!

Cubs vs Cardinals

GAME #3 of the Cubs Cardinals series at the new Busch stadium.

The game was on WGN, so we sat down to watch, but MOMMY had a surprise for daddy.

She dressed maddux up in his Greg Maddux jersey and his cardinals hat! Then she got out the BROOM, b/c the cardinals were going for a sweep!!!!

Maddux had the last laugh(as you can see in picture #4 where he is throwing the broom into the basement!) as the cubbies won 7-3 and Greg Maddux pitched 7 innings of shutout baseball.

Can you say 5th Cy Young?

National Zoo

Our afternoon at the Zoo was great! We went to Washington DC to see the National Zoo. We even got in to see the Panda, Tai Shan. Maddux favorite was the giraffe. Seeing all those animals caged up made me feel great to be a human being. Working all day in my cubicle... Hey, wait a minute!

Maddux had a couple of interesting questions, like, "How does a giraffe overcome all that dead space during respiration?". I said, "Great question maddux!" Please refer to this landmark paper in Nature. "Dad, how does a giraffe get blood to its brain, it must have a long carotid artery?" That maddux, he is something special...
